The "Banshee" concept car was made in 1988 by Pontiac to showcase the latest developments in auto production and production materials. It was to give us all a sneak peak the "next generation of Firebirds" according to Pontiac. This prototype sported a 4.0L V8 and an all Fiberglass body mounted on a tubular frame.

            You can see that this is where Pontiac got the idea for the newer 91-92 facia. Pontiac was actually motivated to do so by public request for the newer style nose. Looks alot like the 4th Gen huh?
