In addition to the 25 street Firehawks that were built, 2 all out racing 1992 Firehawks were built by SLP Engineering and Pontiac Advanced Vehicle Engineering to race in the IMSA Supercar series, a race series of Factory backed teams competing on road courses around the nation. These cars were taken straight off the assembly line and turned into race cars.

Here is a VERY rare picture of the only other Firehawk race car that was sadly destroyed:

This car includes all the Competition "R" Firehawk options:

Aluminum hood
Brembo brakes
ZF 6 speed transmission
Dana 44 posi rear-end
Fuel cell
Full roll cage
Recaro Bucket w/5-pt harness
Adjustable suspension
Aluminum Rodeck 383 ci engine
